collection reference 2801, circa 1915, with 6 1/2in. blued barrel, integral crescent fore-sight, signed along the top of barrel 'SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. USA' and with patent dates to 1906, blued swing-out fluted cylinder, blued solid frame, colour hardened trigger and hammer, double-action mechanism and chequered walnut grips with inlet trademarked medallions, lanyard swivel at heel, the whole appearing in unissued condition with light storage marks only
