pre 1895, with 4in. barrel (loose on frame), integral blade fore-sight, sighting notch to the stirrup barrel locking catch, fluted cylinder with automatic ejection on opening, break-open frame and humped back-strap, the frame fitted with chequered hard rubber birdshead grips (one with chip at heel), the whole stripped of finish and lightly stained
