A .41 RIMFIRE VEST-PISTOL SIGNED COLT, MODEL COLT'S No3 THUER PATENT DERRINGER', no visible serial number, circa 1880, with nickel-plated 2 1/2in. sideways hinged barrel signed in italics 'COLT' along the top, small crescent fore-sight, nickel-plated open frame, blued hammer, spur trigger, birdshead grip fitted with factory ivory grips, some flaking and loss to plated finish and shrinkage to grips
