A .700 PERCUSSION MUSKET, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'M1844 RUSSIAN', serial no. 15409 dated for 1846, with smoothbore 42 1/2in. barrel, applied crescent fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight moulded to the top-tang, nipple boss off-set to the top of breech, plain back-action lock, walnut full-stock (repairs behind lock) with brass furniture including finger-grooved lower tang, heel-plate marked with a Russian double-headed eagle and twin banded nose-cap, iron under-barrel ramrod
