A SCARCE VICTORIAN BOWIE-KNIFE, MODEL 'HUNTER'S COMPANION',
with spear-point 9 3/4in. blade false edged for the last 3in., the left hand face marked 'HUNTERS COMPANION' along the back edge and signed 'ENOCH DRABBLE, SHEFFIELD' at the forte, white metal straight boat-shaped cross-guard, turned ribbed horn hilt with turned white metal ferrule at the front and plain flat pommel-cap, in a later replacement leather scabbard

Other Notes: No trace of Enoch Drabble has come to light, however a knife maker James Drabble operated in Sheffield between 1860-1888, pioneering the use of 'modern manufacturing processes'. It is quite possible that Enoch is a relation
