circa 1898, with re-nickelled 6in. barrel, raised sighting-rib signed by the maker and with patent dates to 1880, crescent fore-sight, break-open auto-ejecting frame with lift-up release catch, fluted cylinder with distinctive double notch locking slots, smooth mother of pearl grips, square-backed trigger-guard, plated trigger and hammer, the whole re-plated with some pitting below the finish
