Indian circa 1840, with octagonal 49in. barrel slightly swamped at muzzle and heavily swamped at breech, gold koftgari arabesque panels extending back for approximately 5in. from muzzle and forwards for approximately 6in. from breech, applied fore-sight bead, standing notch block rear-sight on moulded silver koftgari decorated breech-band, gold koftgari decorated squared top-tang deeply struck with an oval makers mark, carved en-suite panel with similarly decorated domed cover, match-holder protruding through a white metal mount with scalloped border, large flat silver koftgari decorated iron sideplates with arabesque terminals, walnut full-stock with typical angular tiller butt, moulded iron butt-cap, twin pierced rosettes applied to both sides of butt, pierced and shaped hatchet trigger blade, stirrup swivel below action and moulded swivel to third barrel-band, four moulded barrel bands and turned iron ramrod
