the pistol dated for 1917, with blued 8in. barrel, adjustable fore-sight and elevating tangent rear-sight, dated nocksform, maker monogrammed toggle, blued frame with straw finish to ancillaries, chequered wood grips and all matching numbers except for the wood based magazine (numbered 2488), much original finish and colour, with its period leather service-holster containing a magazine loading tool and barrel-handled cleaning rod (both original but unmarked) and a period wooden stock-board (marked), together with a certificate of proof
