29in. Whitworth-steel nitro chopperlump barrels, ribs engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL' and with '1', '2' and '3' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, toplevers engraved '1', '2' and '3', removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, cocking-indicators, articulated front triggers (lightly worked), the rear triggers built up on the face, No.3 gun left ejector requires attention, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15 3/4in. well-figured Prince of Wales pistolgrip stocks with horn pistolgrip-caps, including 1 1/4in. wooden extensions and 1/2in. leather covered recoil pads, weight 6lb. 12oz., in a canvas and leather triple motor case
