(70cm) nitro monobloc barrels with sunken matt rib and no bottom rib, high visibility fore-sight, triple proof with twelve punch marks, deeply scroll engraved at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, sprung sliding-breech with converging obturator discs, carved leaf fences, engraved button barrel release, manual side safety with 'S' detail, profusely engraved in relief with scrolling floral and foliate designs, bright finish overall, 14in. well-figured stock, the chequering with beaded bordering, sling swivels, horn fore-end finial and buttplate, the stock inset with white metal initials 'JV', weight 5lb. 7oz.
