A GOOD 11.7x51R DANISH SERVICE ISSUE MODEL 1867 REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE, serial no. 44090, dated 1875, with 35 1/4in. barrel block front-sight with dovetailed blade, ladder rear-sight with extended volley sight leaf, bayonet bar at muzzle, the action tang stamped "KJOBENHAVNS TOIHUUS-1875", the right side of the action stamped a Danish ordnance inspection stamp and "M-1867", two piece iron mounted full walnut stock, the right butt with inset brass disc marked "2AB / 1758", the forend with three spring retained barrel bands. This rifle was made under licence at the Danish government's Copenhagen Armoury, it features the duel purpose centrefire or rimfire breech. Barrel and action to bright finish.
