AN EARLY .45 (L/C) MARTIAL MARKED COLT SINGLE-ACTION ARMY REVOLVER, serial no. 2467,
apparently for 1874 but possibly re-numbered, with probable replacement 5 1/2in. barrel signed 'COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.', crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, blued cylinder with short flutes, iron frame with two lines of patents and 'U.S.' on the left, iron grip-straps, smooth walnut one-piece grip with a hint of a martial cartouche on the left, central front of frame screw cylinder release and replacement bullseye ejector rod handle, cleaned of finish, with a certificate of proof
