for 1971, original 25in. nitro barrels with matt Churchill rib gold-inlaid 'XXV', the tubes engraved 'CHURCHILL (GUNMAKERS) LTD., ORANGE STREET GUNWORKS. LEICESTER SQUARE, LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke;
extra unmarked 25in. nitro barrels (London proof dated for 1982) with matt Churchill rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke;
carved slender fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scroll engraving on a matted background, the underside with an Imperial crown in a roundel, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. figured stock including ebonite buttplate, weight 6lb. 2oz. (original barrels) and 6lb. 4oz. (extra barrels), in a leather case with provision for both sets of barrels
