GEORGE BATE 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 3357, circa 1900, 30 1/4in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (right barrel at 15, isolated deep pits), the rib engraved 'GEORGE BATE. 132 STEELHOUSE LANE. BIRMINGHAM.', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 3/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, toplever gold-inlaid 'EJECTOR', treble-grip action, border engraving surrounding scenes of pheasant and duck, retaining very slight traces of finish, 14 3/4in. semi-pistolgrip stock including 1in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 12oz.
