Black Sea region circa 1800, the 16in. iron barrel with raised borderline engraved sighting rib and short side ribs, the top-rib with spurious Hijri calendar date of '968' (converting to 1561), two inlet smooth brass poincons forwards of the top-tang, moulded bevel-edged flat lock inlet with irregular panels of sheet yellow-metal embossed with vines, en-suite cock, bridleless frizzen with ribbed face, walnut full-stock with embossed white-metal butt-cap inlet with a coral bead at tip, pierced white-metal mount with inlet pink coral beads at wrist, white-metal moulded trigger-guard, three florally embossed sheet white-metal broad barrel-bands separated by pierced white-metal mounts with central coral beads and false white-metal embossed ramrod, 22 3/4in. overall, weight approx. 2 3/4lbs
