A SCARCE .320 (SHORT) HAMMERLESS BREAK-OPEN REVOLVER, MODEL 'SCHLUND'S PATENT', serial no. 582,
circa 1887, with 4in barrel, the raised sighting rib signed 'KYNOCH GUN FACTORY ASTON', the top-strap signed 'PATENT MODEL', crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to rear, plain hinged frame marked 'CAL 320', sliding barrel release to rear, fluted cylinder, one-piece chequered walnut grip, domed iron butt-cap with lanyard ring deliberately ground off (possibly by factory) and large over-sized trigger-guard with twin triggers and de-cock device (external surfaces worn but with traces of finish), together with a leather holster signed 'Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London'
