A GERMAN MODEL 1898 SWORD BAYONET AND AN INDIA PATTERN 1859 SOCKET BAYONET, 1) circa early 20th Century, with 20 1/2 in, single-edged steel blade fullered on each side. ricasso marked 'SIMSON & CO / SUHL', steel hilts and cross-guard with wooden grips, together with its black leather scabbard with steel fittings, bladed stained with rust patches, hilt rusted and pitted, release catch frozen, scabbard worn, leather mis-shaped and shrunken, fittings rusted, locket loose, 26 1/4 in. overall; 2) circa 1860s, with 17 in. triangular steel blade fullered on each side, rusted with some pitting, with an associated black leather Indian scabbard with brass fittings appearing too small for the blade, 20 3/4 in. overall
