NEW BOND ST. LONDON.' and '.295. SEMI SMOOTH BORE.', 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. true cyl, action incorporating John Thomas patent snap-action, patent no. 3091 of 15th November 1871, rebounding back action lock with carved percussion fence, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining some renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock including steel pistolgrip cap and buttplate, Hackett-type snap-on splinter fore-end with horn finial, weight 4lb. 8oz.
