with 28in. octagonal barrel with relief wootz-damascus pattern for its full length which continues onto the under rib and the two ramrod thimbles, dovetailed blade front-sight, vee notched rear-sight adjustable for elevation via a small spanner adjustable nut with engraved forward extension, later ladder rear-sight, windage and adjustable tang peepsight, breech inscribed with the makers legend inlaid in gold 'J. ADAM KUTCHENREUTER REGENSBURG', typical double nipple bolster, breech inlaid with two gold bands and engraved with a stag, foliate engraved fixed breech tang also featuring deer, double back-action lock plates, the left one acting as a sideplate, finely engraved with foliate scroll work and country scenes featuring deer, hammer foliate engraved to match and with a pivoting safety rest, double set triggers, half-stocked in figured walnut with dark horn nose-cap, the wrist is finely chequered which is set inside scrolled panels, raised cheek rest with carved scroll decoration, fitted with iron buttplate and wooden scroll trigger-guards, complete with its brass mounted rod
