AN F.A.C. J.G. ANSCHUTZ 9MM GLATT BOLT-ACTION GARDEN GUN, serial no. 14124, circa 1965, 22 1/2in. nitro barrel
Provenance: The vendor has kindly provided the following information on this gun:
We have some evidence that this gun is the former property of Brother Adam. He was (and remains) a world famous man in the bee keeping world. He worked at Buckfast Abbey in Devon but originated from Germany.
The gun is sold by us on behalf of the estate of David Kemp, recently deceased. He was also a very well known bee keeper and a bee inspector for the Ministry. He learned his trade from Brother Adam in a ten year stay at the Abbey.
In the book Interviews with beekeepers David states that he has Adam's gun. The Anschutz is the only one which it could be, given the German name.
