W.' the breech end gold-inlaid '2' surrounded by acanthus scroll detailing, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and full choke, treble-grip action, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic replacement safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, beaded border and bold scroll engraving, the lockplates and triggerguard with a crossed feather motif, the makers name in a scrolling banner, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14in. stock, fore-end finial gold-inlaid '2', weight 6lb., in a case
