E.J. CHURCHILL 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 1680, circa 1907, 30in. nitro reproved barrels, the rib engraved 'W.J. CHURCHILL, 8, AGAR ST. STRAND, LONDON, W.C.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, some denting, wall thicknesses at 16- and 20-, treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail (requires attention), rear of top tang broken at screw thread (and missing), toplever spring weak, fully engraved with bold acanthus scrollwork with beaded bordering, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/8in. stock (crack at hand) including 1in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 10oz.
