A RARE CASED REPUBLIC PICTURES STUDIO FULLER'S EARTH FIRING FILM-MAKER'S PROP GUN, mid-20th Century, was designed by studio armourer Roy Wade to fire capsules of Fuller's earth to simulate the effect of bullets kicking up dust on impact whilst avoiding the danger of ricochets, and could fire 12 capsules from a side-mounted magazine propelled by compressed air delivered from a separate tank, comes with two magazines, capsules, and its original studio-made wooden transportation case measuring 42 in. x 10 in. x 5 in,; comes with an explanatory magazine cutting; Republic Pictures Studio operated from 1935 to 1967
