circa 1870, serial number on barrel short rib only, 25in. black powder blank reproved damascus barrels (in 2025, some pits), the rib engraved 'Guyot Arquebusier 12 rue de Ponthieu Paris' in gothic script, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, carved percussion fences, bar-action locks with rebounding hammers, Jones-type underlever with scrolling fore-hand grip, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, patinated finish overall, 14in. figured stock with steel heel and toe plates, captive fore-end with pull-down release, sling swivels, weight 5lb. 13oz.
