for 1904, unsigned 26in. tapering blued octagonal barrel, dove-tailed long beaded blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, blued action with flat top to the bolt and fitted with a period Lyman receiver sight, central hammer, the top-tang marked 'WINCHESTER MODEL 1895', walnut butt-stock with crescent heel-plate, split finger-lever, walnut splinter fore-end with ebony tip, the whole retaining a strong amount of apparently original finish, with certificate of proof
Provenance: Despite the absence of address and maker's details to the top-flat, the barrel would appear to be original and is possibly a factory error
