A BELGIAN 12mm DOUBLE-ACTION PINFIRE REVOLVER 'THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL 1875' no visible serial number, circa late 1870s, with 4 in. octagonal sighted barrel, open frame, cylinder stamped 'THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL 1875', and Liège proof-marks, hinged loading gate, side-mounted ejector rod, chequered wooden bird's head grips, worn and stained with some blinded pitting, overall length 8 1/2 in.
