for 1853, with octagonal 6in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY' on two lines within brackets, open iron frame and five-shot cylinder (scene removed), brass grip-straps and trigger guard, smooth walnut grip, all matching numbers except wedge numbered '5.8'
