A PATTERN 1845/54 INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, late 19th Century, with 32 in. single-edged etched blade fullered on each side, brass gothic guard with royal cypher, bound fishskin grip, with an associated nickelled steel scabbard, worn, weak etching, guard dented, scabbard dented and re-nickelled covering pitting, throat screws absent, currently frozen in scabbard
