AN ENGLISH 60-BORE PERCUSSION TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with octagonal 6in. barrel, the top-flat marked 'IMPROVED REVOLVER', engraved band at muzzle and scroll engraving to top of barrel throat, concave bladed triangular bayonet mounted to left side of barrel and released via a catch on the same side, plain six-shot cylinder, full nipple-shield, rounded border and scroll engraved action with central engraved bar-hammer, chequered walnut grips and guarded trigger, the whole with a later brushed bright finish (some patch stains and loss to detail)
