A PAIR OF MALAY EDGED WEAPONS, BEING A BADE-BADE AND A KRIS, circa late 19th-early 20th Century, 1) Bade-Bade with 8 in. single-edged watered Malay steel blade set in a carved wooden handle and held in its carved wooden scabbard, some closed and tight cracking in the scabbard, with scabbard tip missing, 11 1/2 in. overall; 2) Kris with 13 in. straight double-edged Malay steel blade of typical 'sleeping snake' form, carved wooden bird's-head handle, together with its wooden scabbard, blade pitted, scabbard throat cracked and glued, 19 in. overall (2)
