GUYOT 12-BORE SIDEPLATED BOXLOCK EJECTOR, no visible serial number, circa 1897, 29 1/4in. nitro reproved Whitworth steel barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and full choke, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, carved stylised foliate fences, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, border and acanthus scroll engraving, the decorative sideplates engraved en suite, bright finish, 13 3/4in. stock including buttplate, fore-end inlet in gold with a monogram, weight 6lb. 14oz.
