GRANT 12-BORE 1866 PATENT ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 2925, for 1869, 30in. sleeved nitro barrels (in 2013), rib re-engraved, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks, action incorporating E.C. Hodges patent extractor, patent no. 2996 of November 15th 1866, use number 403, the flats marked with the E.C.H. tower and use number, fine acanthus scroll engraving (heavily worn to action bar), triggerguard tang cracked at screw, 14 1/2in. stock (rechequered and with losses to rear of lockplates) including steel buttplate, fore-end wood with cracked section between key escutcheons, weight 6lb. 8oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case (with repairs)
