NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21. 1894.', the adjacent flat marked 'NICKEL STEEL BARREL. ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER.', adjustable open rear sight marked 'PAT. FEB. 5.1901.', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, detachable full-length tubular magazine with flip-up release-lever marked '-PAT. JUNE 6. 1893-.', take-down slab-sided receiver with loading gate, retaining very slight traces of blued finish, 13in. stock with iron crescent moon buttplate, leather sling, iron nose-cap, weight 8lb. 8oz., in a take-down canvas guncase
