THREE PRE-WAR .177 GEM-TYPE AIR-RIFLES, serial no's. 170, 9040 & 90763, the first with 18 5/8 two-stage barrel, dolls-head thumb-catch to the slanting air-chamber and walnut butt-stock, the cocking link forming the trigger guard (replaced), the second with 17 3/4in. octagonal to round barrel and exposed flat trigger spring, the last of the Lanes variety with octagonal to round 17 3/4in. barrel, dolls-head barrel catch, slanting air-chamber with traces of nickel-plate, the first two pitted externally
