A FRENCH MODEL 1822 LIGHT CAVALRY SWORD, circa 1830s, with 36 in, single-edged curved steel blade fullered on each side, 3-barred cast brass hilt with wire bound leather grip, together with an associated steel scabbard with two suspension rings, worn, no visible markings, grip with losses to both the leather and wire, exposing the underlying wood, scabbard rusted and pitted, badly fitting with missing throat screw
