A BIRMINGHAM MADE 28-BORE SINGLE-BARRELLED TOPLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 102357, circa 1870, 28in. nitro reproved barrel with hexagonal section at the breech, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, some pitting, percussion fence, unsigned rebounding back-action lock, partial border and scroll engraving, 14 1/4in. semi-pistolgrip stock including buttplate (crack at head), snap fore-end with horn finial, weight 3lb. 14oz.
