circa 1835, with octagonal blending to round 3 1/4in. barrel, the top-flat at breech marked 'EDINBURGH' (light bruising), bead fore-sight, standing rear-sight to the engraved top-tang, borderline and foliate engraved lock with stepped tail, 'W. RICHARDSON' signature to the bar, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped grip, captive iron ramrod and iron trigger guard
