AN ORNATE GERMAN-MADE 12-BORE SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR RETAILED BY INTERNATIONAL ARMS, serial no. 37335,
circa 1915, 29 5/8in. nitro barrels engraved with oak leaf and acorn motifs at the breech end, rib engraved 'INTERNATIONAL ARMS', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true and imp. cyl. choke, right bore dimension marginal, left wall at 16, sideclipped treble-grip action, action flats marked 'AP', manual safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, triangular cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, the action and furniture engraved with thistle, oak leaf and acorn motifs on a finely matted background, the lockplates carved with scenes of pheasant on the right, hound flushing game in a woodland setting on the left, the underside with a volitant eagle, triggerguard with a brace of waterfowl taking flight over a marshland setting, silver finish, 13 3/4in. pistolgrip stock with inlaid drop-points (repair to right overhorn, small crack to left side at top tang, slight separation at head), engraved steel pistolgrip-cap and skeletal steel buttplate, weight 7lb.
