A SOUTH-CENTRAL AFRICAN FISHING SPEAR AND A FROG SPEAR, circa early 20th Century southern Sudan, Zande or Mangbetu tribe, socket-mounted, the fishing spear with decorated barbed shaft, haft terminal with wrapped iron counter-weights, 61 in.; the frog spear with five points, the iron being used being repurposed from British military material with some English script and a Broad Arrow remaining visible on the central spike between the head and lower cross-piece, haft replaced, 48 in.
