AN INTERESTING CASED GERMAN COPY OF A .41 (RIMFIRE) REMINGTON DOUBLE DERRINGER PISTOL, serial no. 35,
circa 1900, with over under 3in. barrels, the moulded sighting rib spuriously signed on two lines 'E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.' over 'ELLIOTS PATEN DEC 12TH 1865' (sic), scroll engraving to top barrel at breech, scroll engraved open iron frame, exposed hammer and spur trigger, smooth walnut birdshead grips, traces of nickel-plated finish and in an amateur but probably period folding solid mahogany case inlet in the continental fashion with eleven apertures for cartridges, the top impressed with an armourial of a bent arm holding an axe above a wreath
