A PATTERN 1856/58 YATAGHAN SWORD BAYONET, circa 1860, with 23 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, steel cross-guard, pressed leather grips, bird's-head pommel, together with its black leather scabbard with steel fittings and reproduction frog, worn, blade stained and pitted with all markings apparently rubbed out, cross-guard and pommel heavily cleaned and filed to remove deep pitting, grips shrunk, scabbard heavily worn with failed stitching, and torn above the chape, locket and chape rusted and pitted
