dated for 1859, with blued 33in. barrel, block and bladed fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, bayonet bar near muzzle, signed and dated borderline engraved bar-action lock and hammer, chained nipple protector, walnut three-quarter stock, iron furniture, the heel-plate top-spur marked 'K.V.R.C. 46' (possibly Kent Volunteer Rifle Club), two barrel bands and jag-tipped ramrod, fair amount of original finish remaining
