A PATTERN 1897 EDWARD VII INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, early 20th Century, with 32 1/2 in. blade, ricasso marked 'HAWKES & Co / PICCADILLY / LONDON' with proved plug over, spine stamped 'LONDON MADE' and numbered '6995', steel guard with Edward VII Royal Cypher, wire-bound fish-skin grip, together with its brown leather field scabbard and frog, blade with blinded pitting towards the tip, some loss to the nickelling to the outside of the guard bowl with surface rusting to the inside' pommel and grip spine, scabbard and frog worn with some grazing
