AN UNUSUAL 16-BORE PINFIRE BLUNDERBUSS SHOT-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
Belgian circa 1865, with nickel-plated octagonal 6 3/4in. barrel with offset strongly flaring banded trumpet muzzle, spring-loaded ejector piece mounted to top of barrel and marked 'DEPOSE', open nickel-plated borderline and acanthus leaf engraved frame with central hammer and Lefaucheux-style forward facing under-lever, guarded trigger with finger-spur and chequered ebony semi saw-handled grip with iron cap and provision for a lanyard ring (ring absent), strong amount of plated finish remaining
