Gilbert patent fore-sight, circa 1875, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 1984), rib engraved 'MALOCH, MITCHIE & CROCKART. STIRLING.' and '2', fitted with T. Gilbert patent fore-sight (US patent 267,418, dated November 14,1882), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, Anson & Deeley's patent treble-grip action, use number 6377, automatic safety, intercepting sears, border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name within a banner, brushed finish, 14 1/4in. stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 7oz.
