circa 1886, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 1971), the rib engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 170. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, Anson & Deeley patent treble-grip action, patent no. 1756 of 1875, use number 3656, with Deeley patent ejectors, patent no. 14526 of 1884, use number 114, Westley Richards patent toplever engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT EJECTOR', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, intercepting sears, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in a scrolling banner, the triggerguard engraved with a hound (rubbed), bright and reblued finish overall, 14in. figured stock with chequered side panels and steel heel and toe plates, fore-end with Deeley & Edge release catch and horn finial, weight 5lb. 6oz.
