AN INDO-PERSIAN TABAR BATTLE AXE, believed to be a well-made mid-20th Century north Indian ceremonial or tourist piece, with 8 in. ornate half-moon steel blade depicting a king sitting in a lotus flower being saluted by elephants on one side, and a king riding a tiger with acolytes on the other, a 3 1/2 in. spike and a brass skull-crusher in the shape of a temple, mounted on a wooden shaft with a steel terminal, the tang held in place with steel pins with brass decorations, 28 1/2 ibn. overall length
