A SCARCE .550 PERCUSSION PATTERN 1855 CUSTOMS or COASTGUARD BELT PISTOL SIGNED TOWER, no visible serial number,
dated for 1855, with reblacked ordnance marked round 6in. barrel, small applied blade fore-sight, shallow notch standing rear-sight, solid top-tang with rounded tip, borderline engraved blacked lock signed and dated and with 'V.R.' crown device at tail, walnut full-stock with brass furniture including butt-cap with side-ears and heavy iron lanyard ring, side belt-hook, the side-cheek marked 'R. BAILEY' (inverted) and captive iron ramrod
