* A GOOD .450 (3 1/4IN. BPE) DOUBLE-BARRELLED UNDER-LEVER HAMMER SPORTING RIFLE SIGNED SUHL, serial no. 12489,
circa 1875, with blued (possibly over damascus) 24 7/8in. barrels, plain flat top-rib signed 'SUHL' signature to rib-end, dove-tailed white -metal fore-sight, standing 'battue' notch rear-sight, the face of muzzles and ribs engraved with cross-hatching and geometrics, borderline and scroll engraved swing under-lever rounded action, mushroom headed strikers, borderline and scroll engraved back-action locks, non-rebounding engraved and blued sculpted hammers, chequered walnut semi pistol-grip butt-stock with raised tear-drop cheek-piece, dot and checkerboard engraved heel-plate also featuring the serial number, blued trigger guard and chequered walnut splinter fore-end with horn tip, much finish remaining
