A 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 6839 / 61118,
for 1916, 28in. Greener trademark nitro reproved barrels with Blanch number 6839 and Greener number 61118, the rib engraved 'J. BLANCH & SON. 20. CULLUM ST. FENCHURCH ST. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, some pits, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, the action, lockplates and furniture finely carved with bold scrolling acanthus in Kell style with beaded bordering, the triggerguard dated '1916' in Roman numerals in a scrolling banner, the action flats with the Greener trade mark and number 61118, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 3/4in. highly-figured stock including 1 5/8in. wooden extension, the fore-end with fully scroll-engraved 'snap-bolt' release lever, the iron with Greener number 61118, weight 6lb. 9oz.
